Carrara 6 or better tip

Many of these tutorials were written before the scene scaling functionality was added in Carrara 6. If the tutorial does not mention it, assume the scene should be a small scale scene. If you would like to build the scene as a medium or large you will need to adjust any size attributes listed.
Sample shaders and textures below to be used with Anything Grooves.

Flagstone

Use this texture for Anything Grooves to build a flagstone floor. Includes two browser files and a five JPGs.

To use, follow these directions:

  1. Download and decompress the files. Use the Add folder button on Carrara's Browser tray to add the folder where you decompress the files.
  2. Select File|New to create a new scene. Switch to Master Shaders in the Sequencer tray.
  3. Drag the two shaders from the Browser tray to the Master Shaders list in the Sequencer tray.
  4. Select Insert|Anything Grooves. In the Anything Grooves UI, set Master Shader to Flagstone AGr, turn on Adaptive Mesh, Smooth Angle to 60 degrees, and change U and V samples to 512.
  5. Flip back to the Assemble room and drag the Flagstone shader onto the new Anything Grooves object.
  6. Arrange and render, you're done!

The shader and Anything Grooves shader are tileable, so duplicate and arrange the AG objects to make a bigger floor.
